We are proud of our association with Elco Papier of Switzerland with their reputation for superior quality writing paper and envelopes. They had celebrated their centenary in 2000 and linked this with a successful expansion into Europe. In 1996 Keith Matthews set up the UK subsidiary and quickly developed strong partnerships with the main stationery retailers. Demands from our growing customer base meant larger productions and a more diverse product range, so the time had come to stand on our own two feet!

 

February 2004 saw the creation of Elco UK Ltd following a management buy out and became a privately owned company. By this time we had expanded from the Retail Market into Wholesale and Grocery, covering all types of notebooks and envelopes along with filing products, kids’ craft/stationery, adult craft and postage & packaging.

 

January 2008 saw the exciting launch of our long awaited own brand NU: and the amalgamation of the old Elco and the nu: so today you will find our company trading under the name Elconu:

 

 

Our offices in the UK, Hong Kong and New Dehli ensure our 30 strong team produce and deliver the best available products.  Elconu: continues to adhere to the basic principles of business "reliable and well manufactured product, innovatively designed, value for money and excellent customer service. "
